Accelerated Intimacy Part 1
Accelerated Intimacy Part 1

In Accelerated Intimacy Part 1 Rosie photographed pairs of subjects as they made uninterrupted eye contact with each other. A shot was taken at the beginning and end of a four minute period. (The sociological theory is that intimacy is increased when people hold eye contact for two to four minutes). The project asks whether we can read these signs of intimacy on the image of the face and asks questions about human connection and the power of eye contact.
